Jackets

Old Fashioned Standards is passionate about handcrafting jackets of the highest quality that are stylish, durable, functional, and sustainable.

The company is owned and run by Cassandra Bailey, a professionally trained pattern drafter, seamstress, and designer. For the creation of a jacket, every piece of paper and fabric passes through her hands with a critical eye for perfection. She is always evolving, improving, and expanding her knowledge, products, and brand.

The company began by working exclusively with 100% up-cycled Australian Outback Oilcloth, but has since branched out to also work with high-end and ethically sourced materials including selvedge denim, bull denim twill, corduroy, and assorted wools to make jackets in several timeless styles.

Chore Coat: Our Chore coat is made of high quality waxed cotton cloth or traditional oil cloth. Outstanding durability, pockets and details handcrafted to enhance your experience. Combat the rain, snow, and slush in a jacket that is able to battle the elements for you, while you are left just to look good and feel good. As always, made for a good time, handmade to last a lifetime. Take your measurements and check out the sizing chart to order the perfect fit.

The Quilted Daisy Bomber: is the perfect mix of posh and rugged. Whether heading up the mountain or having an earl grey tea with your nan, this puffy jacket is the freshest pick for any stylish individual. Shopping for the perfect jacket can be like plucking flower petals asking "they love me?, they love not?" but with this handcrafted, 100% up cycled bomber you can be certain its true love forever. Each jacket is made specific to your order, so please take your measurements and look at the sizing chart or reach out in a email for sizing help.

Petunia Petal Pusher: Summer's bloom is over but the petunia petal pusher will keep the flower patch alive through a rainy snowy winter. With water and weather proof traditional 6oz Oilcloth, this puffy jacket does more than just keep you cozy. Hand crafted in East Van and quilted with Robin's Egg Blue stitch, this petal pusher is the freshest pick for the season. Each jacket is made specific to your order, so please take your measurements and look at the sizing chart or reach out in a email for sizing help.

Custom Jackets: Once you have had the pleasure of having a custom jacket made to your exact measurements and specifications, you'll wonder how you'll ever buy anything off the rack again. If you have struggled to find the right jacket for motorbiking, working outdoors or on film sets, gardening, travelling, commuting, or just keeping dry out in the Pacific Northwest, consider a custom jacket from OFS.
